BALENCIAGA | PUMA COLLABORATION

Launching on June 18, 2025, the Balenciaga | PUMA collaboration—originally unveiled as part of the Winter 25 collection—merges Balenciaga’s distinctive design language with PUMA’s legacy of high-performance sportswear, embodying the intersection of technical sportswear and fashion.

The launch is accompanied by a Balenciaga | PUMA campaign lensed by photographer Ari Versluis—known for its anthropological photography series Exactitudes made with Ellie Uyttenbroek—who recently captured the Balenciaga by Demna, “Exactitudes” Spring 26 lookbook, Demna’s final ready-to-wear collection for the House. The campaign features models Diede, Tianee, Brooks, Yav and Joe in videos and still images wearing looks from the collaboration, styled with pieces from the Winter 25 collection. In the videos, the models perform high-intensity gabber dance styles set against the serene soundtrack of Françoise Hardy’s Tous Les Garçons et Les Filles. Balenciaga | PUMA footwear recontextualizes the Speedcat Sneaker—originally released in 1999 with a distinctive flat sole designed for responsive pedal feedback. The Destroyed Speedcat—seen in several looks from the Balenciaga Winter 25 collection—strips away the upper’s structural elements to create a pliable, sock-like feel, and is finished with a cut-off Formstrip, a reinterpretation of a motif first introduced in 1958. A slip-on variant reimagines the iconic style as a laceless sneaker, crafted in supple leather. Alongside these, the new Balenciaga | PUMA Ballerina merges the Speedcat with the silhouette of a ballet flat, creating a hybrid slip-on shoe in satin.

Balenciaga | PUMA garments—entirely manufactured with the House’s savoir-faire— include technical sweatsuits crafted in extra-dry molleton featuring the Balenciaga lion crest emblem, a nod to authentic soccer warm-up suits. Tracksuits in crisp and faded nylons incorporate archival PUMA detailing from the 90s, while other styles recontextualize the brand's iconography across new categories, including a shearling “tracksuit” jacket and a trompe-l’oeil suede bathrobe coat lined with brushed reverse molleton. Hoodies, T-shirts, and shorts—offered in the House’s signature fitted, medium, and oversized silhouettes—feature co-branded Balenciaga | PUMA graphics.
